Richmond’s primary school program ‘Tiger PAW,’ partnered with Parklea was recently recognised at the Aquatics and Recreation Victoria awards.
In its first year, Tiger PAW (Physical Activity and Wellbeing) won the Innovative Program Award at the gala awards night at Docklands, in front of 800 industry professionals.
Tiger PAW builds on the Club’s goals to inspire, enrich and improve the lives in the community by supporting children to develop the vital life skills of physical activity, healthy eating, diversity, discrimination, and resilience. Click here to learn more.
As well as strong partnerships with Parklea, RFC has partnered with South East Melbourne Medicare Local and Cardinia Shire Council to ensure this program is unlike any other on the school curriculum, and it hopes to expand its delivery into the South East of Melbourne in the coming years.
Developed from the ground up using VicHealth program logic frameworks, Tiger PAW is supporting schools, communities, and families to develop the next generation into strong, well-rounded, educated young adults.
