In the spirit of developing stronger community partnerships, on Wednesday 29th July, The Richmond Football Club (RFC), Cardinia Shire Council and Parklea joined forces to hold ‘Developing Partnerships not Sponsorships,’ a free event held at the Star Theatre in the Cardinia Cultural Centre Pakenham.
Presented by the RFC, local businesses and sporting clubs were invited to gain an exclusive insight of the evolution of the RFC and the factors that configure successful business alliances. Featured speakers were well respected and established RFC members; Michael Stahl – Chief Operating Officer, Simon Derrick – General Manager Commercial Operations & Marketing and Cain Liddle – General Manager of Consumer Business.
Parklea CEO, Andrew Herbert said “Parklea is proud to be supporting these type of community initiatives. This is the second year we have collaborated with the RFC and Cardinia Shire Council in holding an event such as this and hope to expand its delivery in the coming years. ”
The collaboration was aligned to provide resources and tools in creating rewarding partnerships, and not just top-level sponsorships. These type of initiatives inject education back into the local Cardinia community and are essential to business sustainability.
